(a) The secretary of state shall appoint four persons as examiners, one of whom must be a full-time employee of the secretary, to assist in a reexamination of an approved voting system or voting system equipment. The attorney general shall appoint two persons as examiners, one of whom must be a full-time employee of the general. (b) Two of the secretary of state's appointees must have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the operation of the system or equipment. (c) Only one person employed by the secretary of state may be appointed. (d) A person who has a pecuniary interest in the manufacturing or marketing of any part of a voting system or voting system equipment is ineligible for appointment.
